Cular creative Case Study
One Niche, Three Stories:
How We Market Pilates Studios Differently
The Brands
We specialised in managing Wellness accounts, so we took running three different Pilates studios across Bali seriously. We found a way to highlight the soul of each business and focus on their uniqueness instead. They all have reformers and teach mindful movement, but their audiences, brand identities, and growth strategies are worlds apart. We don't just change the color palettes for these brands; we completely shift our communication style. Here is how we market each one differently, proving that good marketing is about strategic depth, not just mindless content production.
Where They Were
Sunset pilates bali
Their target demographic is primarily women aged 30 and above—a mature, affluent audience that values experience over aesthetics. As shiny new studios pop up on every corner, our strategy has been a pure authority play. We shifted the narrative to focus heavily on their comprehensive teacher training programs, influencing the market by showing that they train the instructors other studios want to hire.
Luna & Sol
The audience here wants a killer workout, but they also want an experience that matches their social calendar. To make that happen, we run their entire creative and marketing suite. Every single piece of content we shoot is designed to capture that perfect intersection of strength and serenity while keeping the vibe upbeat and entertaining. We also highlight their frequent collaborations with local communities around the Canggu area, transforming the studio from a fitness venue into a cultural hotspot.
REFORM+ Uluwatu
Unlike the transient, holiday-maker crowd, the target market in Uluwatu consists of individuals who are fiercely committed to their personal fitness goals and longevity. Before they found us, the studio had been relying on freelance content creators. But, they didn't just need someone to make pretty graphics; they needed a partner to collaborate on the actual brand direction. We crafted suspense-building teaser campaigns before the doors opened, engineered a strict social media handbook to lock in their visual identity, and mapped out a long-term growth blueprint.
What We Built Together
Our strategy was built on one clear goal — owning the digital shelf. We didn't just post content; we engineered a social ecosystem designed to capture search engine real estate and build instant consumer confidence.

What Changed
For Sunset Pilates Bali, when you have built credibility for nearly a decade, your data looks less like a temporary viral spike and more like a permanent fortress. Up until June, our targeted ad campaigns and structured content kept them firmly at the top of the food chain. While for Luna & Sol, it turns out when you give a hyper-targeted audience exactly what they want with a voice that actually speaks their language, the growth metrics look pretty wild. However, as REFORM+ chose a strategy-first approach over a "let's just post and hope" mindset, they successfully carved out a premium, highly respected niche in Uluwatu from day one. Instead of relying on empty buzzwords, the initial launch strategy built an immediate, high-intent audience eager to step into the new studio.

If we treated Luna & Sol like Sunset Pilates, the younger crowd would find it too rigid. If we marketed Sunset Pilates like Luna & Sol, we would completely alienate the mature clients who trust them for their decade of clinical expertise. And if we didn't highlight the dedicated, healthy-lifestyle ethos of REFORM+, the Uluwatu crowd would look elsewhere for their classical practice.
Copy-paste marketing is lazy, and in a competitive market like Bali, it is a fast track to invisibility. True marketing depth isn’t about feeding the algorithm with generic templates. It is about understanding the human beings behind the brand, tailoring the voice to match the community, and executing a strategy that turns individual identity into market authority.
